Chitrakoot is the most important center of Indian Saraswat Sadhana. Nitya Triya Tapanashini, Vimal Swarupadharini Malyavati are flowing here. Swami Ramatirtha used to say that all the pilgrimages of India are flowers, Chitrakoot collected them. The deciduous in which Sita Rama resided was also delightful with Sudharma. The struggling citizens of Chitrakoot, the foundation of Goswami Tulsidas Government College, were placed by Rakhi. Later, it received the distinction of a state college. On 7 November 1986, the local Chitrakoot Dham Degree College Establishment Committee provided 3238 hectares of land and beneficiary funds to the Uttar Pradesh government through donations. Initially, the same college, starting with three classes, is today known as Goswami Tulsidas Government Postgraduate College Karvi Chitrakoot.
The founding of this college was organized by the struggling learned citizens of Chitrakoot. Later, it became a pride of state college. On 9 November 1979, the local Chitrakoot Dham Degree College Establishment Committee provided 3.237 hectares of land and beneficiary funds to the Uttar Pradesh government through a donation letter. Initially, the same college, starting with three classes, is today known as Goswami Tulsidas Government Postgraduate College Karvi.
Initially, its foundation was laid on Rajapur Road. Later, according to public sentiments, it was established on the Allahabad-Jhansi road. The Chitrakootdham Degree College, which started in three small cells, was named Goswami Tulsidas Government College, Karvy, as per Raja No 2242 / 12-12 (2012-13) / 88 dated 11 June 1988.

District Chitrakoot is directly connected by train from Mumbai, Gwalior, Agra, Jabalpur, Kolkata, Jhansi, New Delhi, Durg, Kanpur, Lucknow and Varanasi. The Chitrakoot Dham of this station is Karvi, which points towards its spiritual dignity. Starting from 43 students in 1988-89, the number in Varman in this college is about 1500. The basic objective of the college is the implantation of the standard qualities of higher education among students.
